A friend was out of town yesterday and invited us to harvest his garden to keep it producing. We came home with quite a bounty!! Here's just one little bit of it; quite colorful! I put a bunch of squash in the freezer over the weekend from another friend, and today I battered and froze two trays of eggplant, and we sliced, battered and baked another one for supper. Yummy! It was like fried okra but without the grease.
I'm playing with the new Blogger templates. I kind of like this, but please leave me a comment letting me know if you think the background is too distracting. Thanks! :)

I love the background. Makes me homesick. I want to learn how to batter and freeze. Would you teach me? We are looking forward to being in Auburn soon. See you then! Gina
I would love to teach you what I know! (It's not much.) :) We are really looking forward to you coming back to Auburn!!
Thank you for your comment about the background. :)
it is a little too much to focus on for me - confuses my eyes - but I love the veggies. I think you should paint them before you eat them. :)
Thanks, Lee- that is what I'm a bit worried about. I appreciate the comment!
I took pictures because I do plan to paint them! :) I would love to take time to paint them from life, and I may do so. Meanwhile, pictures to keep them fresh! :)
It's a lovely template Leslie, but as Lee said, a bit much to focus on with the posts moving and the background staying still, especially with the transparency.
It's a beautiful veggie display! Pity one has to eat it!
Thanks, Maree! Right now I've got two comments in favor, two against! (my husband's verbal opinion). :)
